When the Taliban took over Kabul on August 15, 2021, chaos broke out in the Afghan capital. After two decades of war, the international forces were leaving in such a haste that it caused panic amongst the Afghan population. Despite having vowed not to abandon our partners, our governments broke that promise within days. As the world watched the biggest betrayal of our time unfold, a group of friends decided to step up and help those the international community were leaving behind.
