Join an open discussion with Israeli dissidents—labeled as traitors by our own society for our solidarity with the Palestinian struggle and our questioning of dominant Zionist narratives. Some of us migrated to Germany seeking a peaceful life among those who share our liberal values, but October 7th made it clear that things are not as simple as we had hoped...
As Israelis who are opposed to the occupation of Palestine and to war crimes committed in our name against Palestinians and others, we feel it is our responsibility to speak and engage with the communities around us, and raise our voices to promote Justice and peace.
As Jews who were born and raised in Palestine/Israel, we are concerned that accusations of antisemitism are often used to silence legitimate criticism of Israel and to undermine human rights work. We want to share our perspective on the crucial distinction between antisemitism and valid critique— so that genuine antisemitism and racism can be challenged, while honest debate remains possible.
Drawing on our own biographies, research, and activist experience, we will reflect on the realities of occupation, resistance, and responsibility, and explore how conversation can lead to awareness and action.
As people who oppose the occupation of the Palestinian people and the crimes committed in our name, we see it as our duty to speak, engage, and work toward justice and peace. Staying silent and inactive means the continuation and intensification of the ongoing disaster.
Join us for an open, respectful, and courageous conversation.
